- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent nationally recognized provider.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system; experience with IHS RPMS is a plus.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and patients from multicultural backgrounds.
- Proof of professional liability (malpractice) insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence / $3,000,000 aggregate.
- Ability to complete fingerprinting within five days of selection and satisfy federal background investigation requirements (Public Law 101-630); personnel may not work unsupervised until security clearance requirements are met.
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, annual Influenza, TB screening within the previous 12 months, and a physical examination within the previous 12 months.
- Completion of required IHS orientation, training certificates, and Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse training within 30 days of start date.
