Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job):

  1. Tooling Changeover with Clear Understanding and Knowledge of Safety / Quality Systems
  2. New / Current Part Programming / Processing And Form Adjustments
  3. Safe and efficient operation of production equipment and processes for which the associate has been qualified

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance):

  1. Conduct and Promote Safety Lock Out Tag Out and Performs In A Safe Working Manner
  2. Performs Set Up / Adjustments To CNC Equipment
  3. Performs Tooling, 5S, and Inspections
  4. Minor Preventative Machine & Tool Maintenance
  5. Operate Production Equipment
  6. Knowledge, Execution, and Communication Of Escalation Procedures

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  2. Combined Basic Skills (Mechanical) - Form CBS-M Testing

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).

  1. ISO 14001 / Regulatory Requirements
  2. Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  3. Analytical / Problem-Solving Skills
  4. Quality Systems (IATF, ISO, etc.) - Design / Management
  5. Blueprint Reading
  6. Measuring Via Calipers and Scales

REQUIRED DECISION-MAKING AND ORGANIZATION IMPACT (Describe the typical types of decisions made by employees in this job and the likely impact of those decisions on the Company).

Incorrect Steps Or Errors Can Cause Failure Mode That Affects Safe Vehicle Operation and/or Involves Non-Compliance With Government Regulation Without Warning. May Endanger End User Without Warning.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS (Indicate job titles for this job’s supervisor and direct reports).

  1. Reports Directly To The Production Supervisor
  2. Takes Daily Changeover Instruction From The Production Supervisor and/or Team Lead
  3. Takes Daily Production Instruction From The Production Supervisor and/or Team Lead

WORKING CONDITIONS (Describe the environment within which the work is performed).

  • 1. Works 100% of the time on the production floor.
  • 2. Must be able to work in cool and warm temperatures.
  • 3. Must be able to keep organized under production strain

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly
  2. Ability to work varying levels of overtime
  3. Ability to adjust work schedule to meet plant requirements
  4. Able to travel within the manufacturing area and enter confined spaces for tooling change over

1st Shift 7AM-3PM
