Job Description

Director, Growth Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Growth Operations based in the United States.

As Director of Growth Operations, you will sit at the center of a high-scale growth engine, connecting strategy, analytics, campaign execution, and operational excellence. You will oversee millions of monthly marketing touchpoints across email, direct mail, and SMS. The role combines demand forecasting and capacity planning with the development of standardized operating processes that enable sustainable growth. You will partner closely with Finance, Growth, Content, Lifecycle, Analytics, and other cross-functional leaders. You will also lead a talented operations team while optimizing vendors, infrastructure, costs, and campaign quality. This is an opportunity to build scalable systems and use data, technology, and AI to improve efficiency and amplify meaningful impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead S&OP forecasting and demand-signal modeling to align member growth plans with operational and organizational capacity.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of millions of monthly marketing touchpoints across email, direct mail, SMS, and other growth channels.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve the marketing operating system, including campaign playbooks, standardized workflows, quality controls, and cross-functional guardrails.
  • Identify and activate opportunistic growth levers while balancing repeatable campaign programs with custom and time-sensitive initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Finance and Analytics to improve forecasting models, demand planning, operational visibility, and decision-making.
  • Establish and monitor operational metrics, including cost per touchpoint, campaign quality, execution accuracy, and scalability.
  • Manage marketing vendors and infrastructure, optimizing partnerships, costs, processes, and output as campaign volumes grow.
  • Lead and coach the Growth Operations team while providing direction to dedicated analytics resources.
  • Partner with Client Growth, Content, Lifecycle, Finance, and other stakeholders to establish priorities and ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Translate complex and sometimes fragmented workflows into clear, standardized, repeatable processes.
  • Oversee data flows, ingestion pipelines, and customer data infrastructure supporting precise targeting and segmentation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and implement AI-enabled workflows that address operational bottlenecks and improve team efficiency.
  • Continuously assess growth operations for opportunities to improve speed, accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
  • During the first 90 days, audit campaign execution workflows, identify standardization opportunities, optimize forecasting models, establish operational baselines, and align stakeholders around core repeatable campaign plays.
Requirements:
  • 8–10+ years of experience in Growth Operations, Marketing Operations, S&OP planning, or a closely related operational discipline, ideally within health tech, B2B2C, or another high-growth environment.
  • Advanced expertise in forecasting, demand planning, and analytical modeling, with hands-on experience using tools such as Looker, Google Sheets, and Salesforce.
  • Strong knowledge of email service provider and marketing automation platforms such as Braze, Iterable, HubSpot, or similar systems.
  • Proven ability to execute complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns with exceptional precision and consistency at significant scale.
  • Demonstrated success transforming fragmented or chaotic workflows into standardized operating models, playbooks, and repeatable processes.
  • Experience successfully designing and implementing AI-enabled workflows that address team bottlenecks, automate repetitive work, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong technical understanding of data flows, ingestion pipelines, customer data platforms (CDPs), targeting, and segmentation.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to translate data into practical operational and strategic decisions.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to establish clear processes and boundaries across teams.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including the ability to coach, develop, and empower high-performing operations professionals.
  • Strong ownership mindset, initiative, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.
  • Evidence-based approach to decision-making, with a preference for data and science over assumptions, hierarchy, or established convention.
  • Comfortable taking calculated risks, rapidly testing ideas, learning from results, and continuously improving processes.
  • Strong alignment with a people-first, low-ego, transparent, impact-oriented working style.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly and follow applicable privacy and security procedures.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary of $170,000–$205,000, with starting compensation determined by qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Equity opportunities as part of the overall compensation package.
  • Annual bonus opportunity.
  • Remote-first working environment with distributed teams and office hubs available in Denver and San Francisco.
  • Opportunity to lead high-impact growth operations supporting a mission-driven organization.
  • Significant ownership over growth forecasting, campaign infrastructure, operational systems, and scalable processes.
  • Opportunity to work cross-functionally with Finance, Growth, Content, Lifecycle, Analytics, and other business leaders.
  • Ability to build and implement AI-enabled systems that improve efficiency and operational performance.
  • Leadership and professional development opportunities through direct ownership of a growing operations function.
  • Collaborative, transparent, evidence-based culture that values initiative, curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Work environment centered on meaningful impact, trust, empowerment, and putting people first.
  • Access to company benefits and programs designed to support employees and their wellbeing.
  • Corporate roles are currently open to candidates in eligible U.S. states; certain states are excluded based on hiring requirements.
