Senior Project Manager- Signage

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager- Signage based in the United States.

As a Senior Project Manager, Signage, you will lead complex signage construction projects and large-scale rebranding programs from initial planning through final installation and closeout. You’ll serve as a strategic subject matter expert, ensuring signage programs meet brand, quality, budget, and delivery standards. The role combines project leadership, vendor management, design expertise, and client partnership across multiple locations. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, field partners, and national and regional vendors to deliver high-impact programs successfully. With responsibility for multiple projects and strategic initiatives, you’ll balance competing priorities while maintaining schedules, budgets, quality, and risk controls. This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide signage standards and develop innovative solutions in a collaborative, client-focused environment. The role requires up to 25% regional and national travel.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage multiple real estate and signage projects throughout the full lifecycle, including planning, due diligence, design, fabrication, construction, installation, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Lead large-scale, multi-site signage rebranding programs, coordinating project activities, resources, vendors, and field teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise signage programs, maintaining standards, governance, brand compliance, vendor relationships, and strategic signage solutions.
  • Partner with Facilities Management and Project Management teams to resolve issues, provide brand and design guidance, coordinate projects, support pricing activities, and manage service levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional signage vendors, managing performance, negotiating costs, resolving escalations, and ensuring adherence to quality and brand standards.
  • Work directly with clients to define scopes of work, project resources, cost estimates, budgets, schedules, quality controls, risks, and delivery plans.
  • Lead requests for proposals, evaluate bids, select qualified resources, and provide recommendations to clients.
  • Review signage plans and custom applications to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and alignment with corporate identity standards.
  • Monitor project schedules and milestones, proactively addressing issues and ensuring projects remain on track.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, communicate status updates, document decisions, and maintain clear alignment among stakeholders.
  • Develop practical and innovative solutions to complex project challenges while continuously improving processes, standards, and delivery methods.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to colleagues, sharing expertise and helping develop capabilities across the broader project management function.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 8–10 years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations of education and professional experience may also be considered.
  • 8+ years of direct experience managing signage projects and programs, including large-scale, multi-location or national rebranding initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex signage deployments from planning and due diligence through fabrication, installation, and final closeout.
  • Strong understanding of signage fabrication and installation processes, including the ability to review and interpret signage plans for accuracy, quality, and compliance with established standards.
  • Proven experience managing field partners and signage vendors, coordinating installation activities, resolving field issues, and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Strong vendor-management and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage performance, costs, service levels, quality, and escalations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead multiple projects and strategic initiatives simultaneously while maintaining priorities, resources, and milestones.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with an innovative mindset and the confidence to develop solutions that extend beyond established approaches.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Smartsheet and Bluebeam is beneficial.
