Job Summary
The Manufacturing Systems Support Technician provides technical support for manufacturing systems, production equipment, and information technology used in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining hardware, software, network connectivity, and manufacturing applications to ensure reliable production operations, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provide technical support for manufacturing systems, automated equipment, production workstations, barcode scanners, label printers, industrial PCs, and related equipment.
2. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing software, operating systems, and hardware.
3. Support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and production reporting applications.
4. Respond to production support requests and resolve system issues that impact manufacturing operations.
5. Troubleshoot network connectivity for manufacturing equipment, including switches, wireless devices, and industrial network components.
6. Perform software updates, equipment replacements, system backups, and preventive maintenance.
7. Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
8. Maintain documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and equipment inventories.
9. Assist with deployment of new manufacturing technologies, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
10. Support data collection systems, handheld devices, printers, and automation interfaces.
11. Escalate complex technical issues to engineering, vendors, or senior IT personnel when necessary.
12. Follow company safety, quality, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:Required Qualifications:

1. Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience supporting computer systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
3. Experience with automated assembly processes for automotive components.
4. Basic PLC troubleshooting and programming.
5. Basic Robot (3-axis and 6-axis) troubleshooting and programming.
6. Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
7. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Ethernet.
8. Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
9. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience supporting MES, ERP
2. Familiarity with industrial networking, PLCs, and automation equipment
