Job Description
Clinical Risk Coordinator
What you need to know about this position:
- The role of the Clinical Risk Coordinator is responsible for the health system's clinical risk and patient safety activities, which include, but may not be limited to, detection, monitoring, preventing, organizing, measuring, investigating, reporting, and managing patient adverse events, incident reports, and other indicators of potential patient harm.
- This role will provide consultation and collaboration for the purpose of measurably improving patient safety outcomes and reducing litigation, systematically assessing and supporting team-base implementation, and evaluating clinical risk.
- The Clinical Risk Coordinator is responsible for supporting the health systems clinical legal risk management activities under the direction of the General Counsel and Medical Malpractice Counsel.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $38.06 annualized to $79,165. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This full-time position will require you to work 40 hours a week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master degree preferred.
- Strong clinical background with (5) five years' recent clinical or clinical leadership experience.
- Exposure to healthcare regulatory standards, credentialing processes, or legal discovery is helpful, or a strong willingness to learn these frameworks.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) required within two (2) years of hire.
- Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required.
