Job Description
ThoughtSpot is a Data & AI platform that helps companies turn data into enterprise advantage. We're Gartner MQ leaders with more than 1,000 customers globally and offices in Mountain View, Chicago, London, Bangalore, Sydney, and Tokyo.
The Role:
As a Commercial Account Manager, you'll own and grow a book of commercial accounts across the ThoughtSpot portfolio, driving renewals, expansion, and net new revenue within your patch. You'll be the primary relationship owner for your customers — not a handoff in a longer chain — which means their success and their spend both sit with you.
This is a relationship business, not a transactional one. Our word is our bond: we set commitments with customers and we keep them, and when something changes, we say so early — no surprises, no excuses.
What You’ll Do:
- Own a portfolio of commercial accounts, managing the full post-sale relationship from onboarding through renewal and expansion.
- Build and execute account plans that identify growth opportunities across the ThoughtSpot product portfolio.
- Run renewal and upsell/cross-sell motions against [quota/target — to be provided], forecasting accurately and consistently.
- Partner with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Product to ensure customers realize value and stay ahead of risk.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in line with company pricing and approval guidelines.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and account data in the CRM, and report on account health and revenue trends.
What You Bring:
Required
- Experience in a commercial account management, sales, or customer success role, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- Track record of managing renewals and driving expansion revenue within an existing book of business.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills with both economic buyers and technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating with pace — we measure progress in days, not weeks, and we'd rather ship a 70%-right plan today than a perfect one next month.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred
- Experience selling or managing accounts in analytics, BI, or data platforms.
- Familiarity with land-and-expand motions in enterprise or mid-market SaaS.
