Job Description

Description:
  • Independently manage Building Envelope projects from proposal and scope development through project completion.
  • Serve as a primary client contact and maintain strong relationships with owners, contractors, architects, property managers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, schedules, and additional-service requests.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, field personnel, reporting, and deliverables.
  • Perform and/or coordinate building assessments, field observations, leak and moisture investigations, and construction quality assurance services.
  • Evaluate roofing, waterproofing, exterior walls and cladding, windows and glazing, sealants, flashing, air barriers, and related building systems.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and other project documents.
  • Prepare and review professional reports, findings, recommendations, and client correspondence.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to less-experienced staff as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services, repeat business, and continued growth of client relationships.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Building Envelope/Building Enclosure consulting, roofing, waterproofing, facade systems, glazing, construction inspection, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing projects and client relationships.
  • Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and professional reports.
  • Strong knowledge of common Building Envelope systems and construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects, clients, schedules, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership within a project team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field is preferred but not required. Significant directly related industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • PE, RA, RRO, RRC, REWC, or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.
