Job Title: Material Handler / Inventory Specialist
Department: 301
Reports To: Shipping Receiving Supervisor
FLSA: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
The Material Handler / Inventory Specialist is responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, handling, and distribution of materials and inventory within the facility. This role ensures materials are properly tracked, stocked, and delivered to support production, maintenance, and operational needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, parts, and supplies.
• Prepare and complete material orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and system updates.
• Store materials in designated locations following organizational and safety guidelines.
• Move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other warehouse equipment.
• Track inventory levels and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged items.
• Issue materials to production teams and record transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with shipping, packaging, and labeling outbound materials.
• Coordinate with purchasing, operations, and production to ensure material availability.
• Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minium of 3 years of experience in material handling, warehousing, or inventory management required.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory or ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/work for extended periods.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, cold, wind, rain and humidity. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
