Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for optimizing our processes, equipment, and product quality, while driving continuous improvement projects though-out the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and contributing to Continuous Improvement initiatives that deliver improvements in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Operational Efficiency
  • Providing daily operations support
  • Creator and Guardian to SOP and other critical process documentations updating manufacturing training and procedures as related to Management of Change.
  • Initiate production process modification through Change Management process.
  • Utilize structured problem-solving techniques. Evaluate and analyze project results, using statistical toolsets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams as assigned.
  • Participate in the plants tier process, completing tasks as assigned. Recommend and install capital equipment which leads to improved rates and yields.

Basic Qualifications

The basic qualifications for this role require at a minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Creative thinking and good problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Identifying, initiating, and leading projects to improve process safety, quality, service, cost, capacity, and productivity through engineering and continuous improvement methods.
  • Troubleshooting defects and variation, performing root cause analysis, applying systematic problem-solving techniques, and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Engaging in daily operations to resolve equipment downtime issues, assure quality and productivity, and meet service targets.
  • Creating and maintaining product/process documentation, including specifications, test methods, and management of change documentation.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Familiarity with CNC machining operations and CMM machining and programming
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including root-cause analysis.
  • Self-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passion
