Project FIND’s mission is to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates four supportive housing residences that are home to more than 700 people and four older adult centers with over 3,500 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the unhoused. For all these individuals, Project FIND is a critical resource, providing housing, meals, and programs that help individuals navigate the challenges of aging by encouraging community engagement and healthy living.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Social Media & Volunteer Coordinator develops original digital content, manages social media engagement and analytics, and establishes a formal volunteer program across Project FIND’s Older Adult Centers and housing residences. The position cultivates corporate volunteer partnerships and works with staff to coordinate meaningful volunteer experiences. The coordinator uses organizational digital systems to support engagement and reporting, while referring potential donor relationships to the Development team.
Social Media & Content Creation
- Develop original photographs, videos, interviews, graphics, and written stories in collaboration with older adults, residents, and program staff.
- Maintain a social media content calendar and coordinate scheduling and publishing across relevant platforms.
- Analyze reach, impressions, engagement, audience growth, and conversions; provide regular reports and recommendations.
- Submit content to the Executive Director and Director of Development for approval before publication; obtain appropriate participant consent.
- Perform minor website content updates, including events, photos, and program information.
Volunteer Program Management
- Establish and maintain a formal agency-wide volunteer program covering recruitment, applications, orientation, scheduling, tracking, retention, and recognition.
- Collaborate with housing and Older Adult Center staff to identify volunteer needs, coordinate assignments, and execute volunteer activities.
- Coordinate required volunteer screening, clearances, and training with Human Resources.
- Maintain volunteer participation records, service hours, project outcomes, and follow-up communications.
Corporate Volunteer Partnerships
- Identify, approach, cultivate, and retain corporate partners and employee volunteer groups.
- Design and coordinate corporate service projects with site staff, including recurring engagement opportunities.
- Identify volunteers and corporate contacts interested in deeper organizational support and refer donor or sponsorship opportunities to the Director of Development; direct fundraising solicitation is not a primary responsibility.
Digital Systems & Departmental Collaboration
- Use Bloomerang, Jotform, Hootsuite, Constant Contact, Canva, and related platforms for outreach, registration, communications, and reporting without serving as overall system administrator.
- Maintain accurate assigned records and coordinate system improvements with designated administrators.
- Support development events, agency publications, and communications in collaboration with program and housing staff.
Performance & Evaluation
- Assess current volunteer activities, corporate partnerships, and social media performance during the first 90 days.
- Work with the Director of Development to establish measurable targets after the initial assessment, including digital engagement, volunteer participation, and corporate partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.
- At least two years of relevant experience in social media, volunteer coordination, digital communications, or nonprofit operations.
- Demonstrated skills in original content creation, photography or video storytelling, and social media analytics.
- Experience using CRM and digital engagement tools such as Bloomerang, Jotform, Hootsuite, and Constant Contact.
- Strong organizational, written communication, project coordination, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage respectfully with older adults and collaborate across multiple program and housing sites.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:000AM - 5:00PM with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday availability for events and volunteer activities. Up to two remote workdays after the first 90-days. Specific hours and remote work arrangements are subject to supervisory approval. Must be available for Christmas or Thanksgiving to help coordinate volunteer events.
Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. The E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates.
