At HV Talent Group, we connect talented professionals with leading organizations and direct-hire opportunities aligned with their experience, career goals, and long-term growth. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent to lead construction projects throughout the Chicagoland area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction leader who takes ownership of daily field operations, prioritizes safety and quality, and ensures projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

About the Opportunity
The Senior Project Superintendent will oversee daily jobsite operations and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and project stakeholders throughout every stage of construction. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive leader who communicates clearly, resolves field challenges, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Experience with ground-up commercial construction is essential, with ground-up multifamily residential or senior living construction experience highly preferred.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage daily jobsite operations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and field personnel.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans.
  • Monitor construction progress and proactively address scheduling or coordination challenges.
  • Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe, organized jobsite and enforce company and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and identify quality concerns before they affect project progress.
  • Use Procore to manage project documentation, daily reporting, photos, schedules, RFIs, and field communication.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, ownership, and trade partners to resolve field issues.
  • Assist with cost awareness, change management, and budget-related field decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and support field staff while promoting a positive, accountable, and solutions-oriented jobsite culture.
  • Provide clear and consistent updates to project stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Several years of progressive field leadership experience as a construction superintendent or in a comparable role.
  • Strong experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Ground-up multifamily residential or senior living construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, schedules, quality control, and jobsite safety.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, plans, specifications, building codes, and field coordination.
  • Experience using Procore for construction management, project documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to identify problems, make informed field decisions, and keep projects moving forward.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • OSHA or other relevant construction safety certifications are preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Highly competitive salary.
  • Performance-based bonuses.
  • 401(k).
  • Vehicle allowance.
  • Comprehensive medical and dental benefits.
  • Long-term career growth opportunities.
  • Projects located throughout the Chicagoland area, with no out-of-state travel required.

About the Organization
Our client is a fully integrated owner, developer, general contractor, and property management organization focused on multifamily residential and senior living communities. Its culture is grounded in four core values: Be a Friend, Live to Learn, Walk the Talk, and Finish Strong. These values guide collaboration, problem-solving, and the delivery of high-quality communities built to stand the test of time.

Ready to Take the Next Step?
If you are an experienced construction superintendent who takes pride in leading field operations, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and delivering successful projects, we encourage you to apply through HV Talent Group for consideration.
