Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Hospice Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients and families/caregivers either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge and experience in the area of coping with terminal illness, grief, and/or bereavement in the pastoral/spiritual realm required. Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (MDIV or equivalent degree) required. Completion of one unit of a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program with an emphasis on health care ministry preferred. Current BLS Certification required. Must maintain a valid WA State Driver’s License, personal automobile insurance, and must be insurable with the District’s Insurance Carrier.
