Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
This Clerk position is tasked with assisting in ensuring the highest degree of product quality is achieved via current manufacturing processes. This position will work with company-wide QA/QC team and fabrication crews to establish quality standards and procedures and identify quality improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Mathematical skills
• Strong sense of urgency.
• Must be able to work under pressure and remain calm.
• Must possess a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, physical, audiogram, and vision test.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• QC Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and precise products; ensures timelines and appropriate sense of urgency in all aspects of quality control functions; and ensures that productivity and turnaround goals are met.
• QC Clerk updates training records under supervision of quality control inspector and is involved in business activities and gains valuable industry experience while working with top experienced professionals.
• QC Clerk ensures customer orders and forms are completed accurately, detailed, stamped and have appropriate signatures prior to final review by quality control inspector.

MEASURE OF PERFORMANCE
• Quality, accuracy, thoroughness, reliability of work performed.
• Quality problems closed out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Inspection records and notebooks kept up to date and organized.
• Timeliness and adherence to inspection deadlines and schedules for meeting customer needs.
• Consistently reports to work on time and absenteeism held to a minimum.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Office and occasional manufacturing floor/shop.
• Occasional travel by automobile may be required.
• During work, the incumbent will be subject to seasonal weather conditions.
• Exposure to shop hazards.
• This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree and must be physically capable to lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug-screening test.
