Job Description
The applicant will have a brief interview. If the applicants interview goes well, we will forward their information to the "The Job Center" who they will work under for 350 hrs. There after the applicant will be hired by Architectural Concepts as a full-time employee.
Job Summary
Retrieve and supply all materials required by the Door shop production staff for daily work. Maintain stock inventory levels as required. Assist in the assembly of interior doors and related products which will be sold to customers while adhering to and understanding safety policies and regulations.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities- Perform all job operations in a safe manner in accordance with company safety policies.
- Read pick tickets of door components that need to be retrieved for the daily production schedule.
- Pull & set-up all doors for production
- Pull jambs & hardware for the orders set-up
- Coordinate necessary materials for production using work tickets and trade skills for specified product line.
- Inspect finished product for quality using product knowledge and work ticket.
- Assist in the shop housekeeping i.e. sweeping, storing and cleaning. Maintain interior door shop vac system cleaning.
- Employee will operate a forklift in a safe manner (if certified to use).
- must be able to read a tape measure
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
- Ability to use measuring devices such as a tape measure and transfer them to a production piece within 1/16'
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations
- Must be able to work overtime when needed and some Saturdays to satisfy production schedule demands
- Must have prior experience in finish carpentry or assembly of finished wood products
- Knowledge of general safety guidelines in carpentry or construction field
- Some product knowledge of doors and door trim
- Experience working in a team environment
