Overview
The pay for this position ranges from $24.64 - $34.28 per hour based on skills and experience.
Positions are for 1st shift at the Outfit Fabrication Facility in Brunswick, ME.
Successful candidates will be expected to provide technical assistance to manufacturing in determining executable work, provide necessary documentation to accomplish that work, research material, determine material availability, and order material as needed. Depending on specific assignments, job will consist of varying levels of office, shop floor, and outside work.
Responsibilities
- High School Diploma / GED.
- College degree in a technical, business, or management related field preferred.
- Graduate of BIW Manufacturing or Design Apprentice programs preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, planning and/or design with an understanding of material control and inventory storage practices preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other technical documents required.
- Competent usage of common PC-based systems (Microsoft Office, etc.) required.
- Knowledge of BIW work management systems (MACPAC, JIRA, FLOC, etc.) preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Satisfactory work history (discipline/attendance)
- Must meet all requirements of the physical task analysis for Material Planner in manufacturing environment.
