Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Enterprise Sales Executive, Consumer Products and Services based in United States.
This role is a senior enterprise sales position focused on accelerating growth across the Consumer Products and Services industry.
You will build a new portfolio of enterprise accounts across the US East Coast, targeting organizations navigating major operating-model and digital transformation challenges.
The position combines strategic prospecting, consultative selling, executive relationship building, solution development, and complex deal execution.
You will work across technology, marketing, management consulting, and AI-enabled transformation capabilities to create solutions tied to measurable client outcomes.
Success will require a true hunter mentality, strong industry credibility, and the ability to build relationships from initial contact through long-term account growth.
You will collaborate closely with sales development, client partnerships, industry leadership, solution specialists, and delivery teams to shape and close high-value opportunities.
The role offers significant autonomy and visibility, with the opportunity to influence strategic client priorities while building a substantial enterprise business.
- Build and own a targeted portfolio of enterprise Consumer Products and Services accounts, with direct responsibility for new-logo acquisition, revenue growth, and client outcomes.
- Identify, prioritize, prospect, and develop new enterprise relationships rather than relying on an inherited book of business.
- Develop account strategies, opportunity plans, pipeline generation programs, and multi-year growth strategies for target accounts.
- Prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close complex opportunities in collaboration with Sales Development Representatives and cross-functional sales teams.
- Lead strategic conversations with prospective and existing clients, adapting the engagement approach to account maturity, stakeholder level, and business complexity.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives and C-suite stakeholders across Consumer Products and Services organizations.
- Lead solution development and deal execution alongside industry leadership, practice leaders, pre-sales specialists, and delivery teams.
- Develop solutions that address operating-model challenges across technology, marketing, management consulting, and AI-enabled transformation.
- Partner with Client Partners to expand newly acquired accounts, coordinate account strategies, and increase long-term client value.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, account intelligence, forecasts, and opportunity information to support effective commercial decision-making.
- Negotiate complex service agreements with enterprise procurement and legal teams.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional capabilities, displace incumbent providers, and expand relationships across business units.
- Build industry-specific perspectives and solutions that address emerging challenges and the impact of AI on consumer products and retail operating models.
- Travel approximately 25–40% to client sites, conferences, and team events as required.
- Contribute to sales best-practice sharing, win/loss reviews, team rituals, and knowledge development.
- Over time, mentor new team members and share expertise in enterprise selling, industry trends, and territory development.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while reliably managing priorities, deadlines, meetings, and digital collaboration tools.
- Build toward an annualized gross sales target of approximately $10 million after the initial 9–12-month portfolio ramp.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7–10+ years of experience in professional services, ideally with a leading consulting firm and a strong background in enterprise account management and solution selling.
- Experience comparable to a Director, Principal, Client Service Partner, or similarly senior enterprise commercial role is highly relevant.
- Extensive experience selling consultative, service-oriented, or outcome-based solutions within the Consumer Products and Services industry, particularly Retail, CPG, Food, and Grocery.
- Demonstrated success building a book of business from the ground up through self-sourced prospecting and new enterprise relationship development.
- Proven experience managing a $5M+ annualized gross portfolio and closing complex, multi-phase deals in the $250K–$1M+ range.
- Experience selling to enterprise organizations with approximately $2B+ in annual revenue.
- Strong ability to engage C-level executives in conversations about industry trends, business transformation, and strategic priorities.
- Well-rounded understanding of Consumer Products and Services challenges, including the ways AI is reshaping operating models, customer experiences, commerce, marketing, and other business functions.
- Ability to articulate how technology, marketing, management consulting, and AI-enabled capabilities can address complex client challenges.
- Experience with hybrid talent models, alternative consulting delivery models, or comparable professional services approaches is preferred.
- Proven ability to create and execute account plans that generate sustained portfolio growth and healthy sales pipelines.
- Demonstrated success with collaborative prospecting, virtual and in-person sales meetings, and multidisciplinary sales pursuits.
- Experience negotiating complex service agreements with procurement, legal, and other enterprise stakeholders.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to coordinate multiple internal teams around innovative client solutions.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–40%.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong intellectual curiosity, grit, entrepreneurial drive, and a passion for solving client problems with creativity and urgency.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment while managing competing priorities, deadlines, and diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a high-performing individual contributor rather than relying primarily on delegation.
- Ability to work independently, self-manage workflows, prioritize effectively, and reliably attend scheduled virtual meetings.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available.
- English proficiency is required for resumes and professional communication.
- Applicants located on or within commuting distance of major US East Coast metropolitan areas are strongly preferred.
- Competitive base salary determined by work location, relevant experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors.
- Eligibility for monthly commissions based on revenue generated from engagements sold.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Basic life insurance.
- Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
- Flexible Spending Accounts, Dependent Care Accounts, and Health Savings Accounts.
- Telehealth and virtual healthcare services.
- Employee Assistance Program.
- Flexible paid time off.
- Fully remote work environment with opportunities for concentrated field engagement across the US East Coast.
- Opportunity to work with major Consumer Products and Services organizations on technology, consulting, marketing, and AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
- High-autonomy environment designed for entrepreneurial, high-performing individual contributors.
- Opportunities to build executive relationships, shape strategic client priorities, and develop a significant enterprise portfolio.
- Professional growth through exposure to multidisciplinary teams, complex enterprise engagements, and emerging AI-enabled business solutions.
