The successful candidate will solicit new business and achieve revenue goals established for the hotel. In addition, will implement sales and marketing strategies which facilitate achievement of budget objectives, profitability and return on investment, through building strong business relationships and using effective negotiations and sales practices.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssists in the development and implementation of the hotel Sales PlanRepresents the hotel to individuals, groups and corporations in order to ensure repeat business and gain new businessProactively researches and solicits new and repeat account opportunities through the use of prospecting techniques such as outside sales calls (pre-qualified and cold calls), telephone, websites, databases, trade shows, feeder market sales trips and other new business lead opportunitiesConducts property site tours and entertains clients in-house or off-siteRepresents the hotel to the local communityWorks with Operations teams to ensure the appropriate hotel implementation of special promotions and sales initiativesSupports the service personnel in any way possible to enhance guest experience and satisfactionMeets and exceeds personal sales room night revenue goals: monthly, quarterly and yearlyUtilizes the property management systemPromptly sends proposals, contracts and other correspondence Accurately confirms all bookings, quotes and negotiated rates with adhering to hotel rate structure, credit policies and general hotel policies and proceduresMaintains up-to-date and accurate client files, databases and tracking systemsStays familiar with industry trends via appropriate publications/trade memberships Involved in the creation and implementation of marketing and social media strategiesFollows up on leads in a timely and professional manner within the respective territory both by telephone and by digital correspondence.Fully qualifies each piece of business to understand the overall potential of the booking.Responsible for full market knowledge as it relates to the strengths and weaknesses of top competitors and industry trendsDevelops and maintains positive relations with all guests, vendors, colleagues and brand sales offices while portraying a professional image at all times.Prepares weekly sales reports and attends weekly departmental and staff meetingsFollows up on Groups to ensure customer satisfaction Other duties as assigned by the Regional Sales ManagerOther duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing and General Manager
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:A minimum 2-3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably with corporate and group market experienceA proven track record in cultivating business relationships and strong prospecting skillsStrong negotiations, presentation, influencing skills and decision-making capabilitiesExperience in hotel industry with knowledge of competitive markets considered definite assetAbility to identify markets, develop sales/marketing strategies to penetrate markets in line with company business planPossesses excellent organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skillsBackground in the development & execution of business, marketing and sales plansProactive sales approach, assertive, fast-paced, results oriented and driven to succeedMust be able to travel and may be required to work evenings and weekends as requiredDemonstrates strong leadership, team, communication and coaching skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel and Power Point is essentialHigh degree of professionalism and dedication Scan to Apply
