CHPC specializes in Complex PTSD, attachment and developmental trauma, narcissistic and relational abuse, abusive relationships, and other complex mental health concerns. We are seeking master’s-level therapists who want to provide thoughtful, relationship-based, evidence-informed care within a collaborative trauma-specialty practice.

This role begins as a part-time W-2 position while you build your caseload, with a structured pathway toward established part-time and full-time salaried employment, as well as potential advanced clinical, supervisory, training, program-development, or leadership opportunities for qualified clinicians.

Clinicians interested in hybrid work may provide both telehealth and in-person services from our Chicago Loop office at 25 E. Washington Street, Chicago, IL 60602.

Fully remote Illinois therapists are also welcome to apply.

As CHPC continues to grow, we may expand in-person services into additional Chicago-area and Illinois communities, creating future opportunities for clinicians to work closer to where they live and help develop services within their local communities.

CHPC provides referrals, billing and administrative infrastructure, credentialing support, marketing, clinical consultation, trauma-focused training, and collaborative caseload-development support. Our goal is to allow therapists to spend more of their professional energy on excellent clinical care and professional growth rather than managing every aspect of running a private practice.

Your work may include individual, couples, family, and/or group psychotherapy; clinical intake and assessment; treatment planning; documentation; consultation; and collaboration with other professionals when clinically appropriate. Depending on your interests and experience, there may also be opportunities to develop specialty groups, workshops, psychoeducational programs, community initiatives, or other trauma-informed services.

$53,000 - $76,000+ yearly

• Provide compassionate individual, couples, family, and/or group psychotherapy to clients experiencing trauma and complex mental health concerns

• Apply evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches to support healing, resilience, and long-term change

• Complete clinical intakes and trauma-informed assessments

• Develop individualized treatment plans

• Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and clinical documentation

• Maintain appropriate professional and ethical boundaries

• Build and maintain a consistent caseload with support from CHPC

• Communicate professionally regarding scheduling, referrals, client care, and clinical concerns

• Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals when clinically appropriate

• Participate in clinical consultation, professional development, and team activities

• Demonstrate consistent attendance, reliability, responsiveness, and follow-through

• Continue developing expertise in trauma treatment and your chosen clinical specialty

• Provide telehealth and/or in-person services based on role, location, and client needs

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field

• Active Illinois clinical license or credential appropriate to the position

• Illinois credentials may include LPC, LCPC, LSW, LCSW, ALMFT, or LMFT

• Strong interest in trauma-focused psychotherapy and trauma-informed care

• Sound clinical judgment, ethical practice, and professional boundaries

• Ability to complete DSM-5-TR-informed assessments, treatment plans, and timely progress documentation

• Comfortable providing telehealth services

• Organized, dependable, responsive, and accountable

• Able to work independently while remaining actively engaged with a collaborative clinical team

• Commitment to culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodiversity-affirming care

• Appropriate confidential workspace and reliable technology for telehealth services

Strongly Preferred

• EMDR basic training or higher

• Experience treating Complex PTSD

• Experience working with survivors of narcissistic or relational abuse

• Experience with attachment and developmental trauma

• Somatic therapy training

• IFS training or experience

• Brainspotting or other advanced trauma training

• Couples or relational therapy experience

• Bilingual ability, particularly Spanish, Mandarin, Polish, Ukrainian, or another language represented within the communities we serve
