MedNOW Clinics is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant/X-Ray Technician to support our clinical team. This position combines Medical Assistant responsibilities with performing diagnostic X-rays within the employee’s authorized scope.The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with patients, assisting providers, performing X-rays safely, and helping maintain an efficient clinic environment.What You Will DoWelcome patients and prepare them for their appointments.Record vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.Prepare examination rooms and assist providers with procedures.Perform ordered diagnostic X-rays within your training, credentials, and authorized scope.Verify patient identity and imaging orders before performing examinations.Explain X-ray procedures and complete appropriate safety screening.Position patients correctly and produce clear, diagnostic-quality images.Follow radiation-safety requirements and ALARA principles.Send completed images through the appropriate imaging system for review.Maintain X-ray equipment, safety records, and required quality-control documentation.Clean and disinfect rooms and equipment between patients.Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and other clinical duties within your training and assigned responsibilities.Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.Maintain clinical supplies and notify leadership when supplies need to be reordered.Communicate patient concerns or urgent findings promptly to the appropriate provider.Protect patient privacy and follow all HIPAA, safety, and infection-control requirements.Support patient flow and assist other team members as needed.Perform X-rays only as ordered and do not independently interpret or diagnose radiographic findings.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent hands-on clinical experience.Current Colorado Limited Scope Operator registration appropriate for assigned X-ray duties, or current ARRT radiologic technologist registration in good standing.Current BLS or CPR certification.Knowledge of safe radiographic positioning and radiation-protection practices.Ability to perform both Medical Assistant and X-ray responsibilities.Strong communication, patient-service, documentation, and organizational skills.Ability to work full-time onsite at the assigned MedNOW clinic.Preferred QualificationsCurrent CMA, RMA, or another recognized Medical Assistant certification.At least one year of outpatient, primary-care, or urgent-care experience.Experience with Athenahealth or another electronic health record.Experience working with PACS or another medical imaging system.Experience with phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and specimen collection.Bilingual English and Spanish skills.Compensation and BenefitsThe anticipated pay range is $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
