This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Architect based in India.

This is a remote Cloud Architect role focused on shaping and overseeing modern cloud computing strategies from architecture through ongoing management. You will design scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments across public and hybrid cloud models. The role combines hands-on technical architecture with governance, security, cost optimization, and long-term infrastructure planning. You will translate business objectives into practical cloud solutions while guiding engineering and development teams toward cloud-native best practices. Strong attention to reliability, performance, compliance, and financial efficiency will be essential. You will also serve as a key technical bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams in a fast-evolving cloud environment.

• Design multi-tier cloud architectures using IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Evaluate cloud providers and hybrid-cloud configurations based on technical, operational, security, scalability, and business requirements.
• Develop scalability and resilience strategies that allow infrastructure to adapt automatically to changing demand while maintaining performance and availability.
• Establish cloud governance and security practices, including least-privilege IAM models, encryption, firewalls, DDoS protection, and appropriate access controls.
• Ensure cloud environments align with relevant compliance and security standards, including frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2 where applicable.
• Develop cloud cost models and forecasts, identify opportunities for resource rightsizing, and optimize infrastructure spending through effective capacity and purchasing strategies.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into cloud architecture and deployment requirements.
• Mentor Cloud Engineers and Developers on cloud-native architecture, engineering practices, automation, security, and infrastructure standards.
• Support architectural decision-making by balancing performance, reliability, scalability, security, and cost considerations.
• Help troubleshoot systemic infrastructure issues and contribute to resilient solutions for outages and other complex technical challenges.

• Proven experience in cloud architecture, cloud infrastructure, or a closely related technical role, with strong knowledge of modern cloud computing principles.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud networking concepts including VPCs, DNS, load balancing, and content delivery networks.
• Experience designing and managing cloud environments using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Programming or scripting experience in languages such as Python, Go, or Java for automation and infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and data lake architecture.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, least-privilege security models, encryption, firewalls, and cloud security practices.
• Experience with cloud governance, compliance, and security frameworks, including GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
• Ability to analyze cloud costs, forecast infrastructure spending, and identify opportunities for resource optimization and rightsizing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot systemic outages and complex infrastructure issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical cloud concepts and architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to balance competing priorities such as cost, performance, scalability, and security.
• Adaptability and a commitment to staying current with rapidly evolving cloud technologies and platform updates.
• Ability to mentor technical teams and collaborate effectively across engineering, development, and business functions.
