TITLE: Product Sales Coordinator – Summer Intern (P&O)DEPARTMENT: Potatoes & Onions (P&O)REPORTS TO: Sales ManagerSUMMARY: This full-time summer internship is a great opportunity with the potential to transition into a full-time role. Bring your customer service, communication, and organizational skills and learn how L&M operates across NC, FL, and CA. As a Product Sales Coordinator Intern, you will support quality and production teams’ goals by assisting with planning, scheduling, directing, and executing production activities to ensure strong performance throughout the season.RESPONSIBILITIES:Work closely with the Sales Manager and Sales AssistantsOversee material and product inventories to ensure accurate availabilityDirect truck drivers and confirm correct product loadingAssist growers with the Grower Portal, including printing tags and troubleshootingMay assist the Sales team with sales callsTRAVEL:Travel required approximately 65% of the internship to onsite L&M growing locations throughout the internshipTravel between required internship locations may be necessary. Eligible travel expenses may be reimbursed based on the intern’s primary residence and in accordance with company policy.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Builds and maintains effective working relationship with growers and customers, while giving top customer serviceStrong verbal and written communication skills – including the ability to listen effectively – and the ability to think / respond / react appropriately in fluid situationsKnowledge of general accounting principles and practicesKnowledge of USDA standards and regulationsComputer proficient with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsMust have the ability to reliably travel to various work locations as requiredEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) requiredSome college preferredCustomer service experienceFresh produce experience preferredWORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Work may involve a combination of indoor and outdoor environments, with opportunities to move between work locations to gain exposure to different areas of the company and learn about various operationsDynamic and fast-paced office environmentWarehouse and field environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, equipment, machinery, and vehicle traffic, including exposure to moving equipment, forklifts, agricultural machinery, delivery vehicles, and other equipment associated with company operationsMay be exposed to dust, dirt, pollen, soil, plant materials, and other conditions commonly associated with agricultural and orchard environmentsRegular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, humidity, and varying seasonal conditions
