HGV Class 1 Driver - Temporary Position

Very clean work with no loading / unloading expected.

Open to newly-qualified drivers.

About the Job:

We are looking for a short termdrivers who will primarily carry out trunking work, but it would be beneficial if candidate could alsocover tramping.

You would have to:

• Maintain all health and safety standards
• Careful and safe handling of truck and trailers
• Flexibility required regarding start times
• Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
• Complete trailer checks for every pickup and drop off
• Ensure you arrive at your job on time, informing the office of any issues
• Use app for route navigation and to track deliveries
• Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code
• Must have a professional attitude, be reliable, customer focused, safe and a team player
• Comply with all tachograph and WTD regulations
• Clean and look after your truck as if it was your own.

Shift Patterns

• Full-time
• Part-time
• Variety of shift patterns 4 on 4 off / 5 on 2 off and so on

Your knowledge and experience:

• Valid C+E Class 1 license with no more than six penalty points as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements
• Driver CPC card with no current suspension or revocation
• UK Digital Tachograph Card
• Right to work in the UK
• English language skills for safety
• Willing to undergo a Background Check and Drug and Alcohol test
• 1 year driving experience preferred
• Previous Amazon work experience preferred
