  • Serve as a primary accounting contact for joint venture partners, third-party property managers, and other service providers, coordinating the receipt and review of property-level financial information and resolution of accounting matters.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly joint venture financial statements, financial reporting and partner reporting packages, and related analyses.
  • Account for partner contributions, distributions, ownership interests, intercompany activity, management fees, financing activity, and other joint venture transactions.
  • Support the Companys consolidation process, including elimination entries, noncontrolling interest calculations, and related reconciliations.
  • Monitor compliance with the accounting and reporting provisions of joint venture agreements and maintain appropriate supporting documentation for significant transactions.
  • Assist with technical accounting research and preparation of accounting memos for acquisitions, dispositions, financings, contributions, and other joint venture and corporate accounting matters.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors to provide supporting documentation and resolve audit inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, standardize processes, and increase efficiency through automation and data analytics.
  • Assist the Manager, Corporate Accounting & Reporting with special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Two to three years of relevant accounting experience, with public accounting, real estate, joint venture, or corporate accounting experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to research accounting guidance, analyze transactions, and document accounting conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a close process and manage multiple recurring deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand both the overall transaction and the underlying accounting detail.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-directed, and committed to producing accurate, high-quality work.
