This remote opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven professional with technical expertise and a strong understanding of complex project-based sales.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead market development, manage strategic accounts, and drive profitable sales across multiple energy and infrastructure sectors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute growth strategies for data center, renewable energy, BESS, and C&I markets, identifying target accounts, decision-makers, project timelines, competitive dynamics, and qualification requirements.

  • Build and maintain relationships with data center owners and operators, renewable energy developers, independent power producers, BESS integrators, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms, consulting engineers, industrial customers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and channel partners.

  • Pursue supplier qualifications and approved vendor status with data center customers, coordinating technical approvals and identifying suitable transformer opportunities.

  • Identify solar, wind, energy storage, electrification, infrastructure, and commercial development projects early, positioning appropriate transformer solutions before bids are finalized.

  • Create structured account plans, map customer relationships, track project opportunities, define growth objectives, and develop preferred supplier or framework agreements where commercially appropriate.

  • Lead commercial negotiations and close orders within delegated authority, preparing pricing recommendations, managing gross margins, and securing approvals for discounts and nonstandard terms.

  • Coordinate with Finance and designated approvers to review contractual terms, including payment conditions, warranties, cancellations, price adjustments, liquidated damages, and delivery obligations.

  • Own assigned bookings and gross-margin targets while contributing to revenue planning and maintaining an accurate sales pipeline in designated systems, including CRM tools when available.

  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Proposal Engineering, Engineering, Operations, Finance, regional sales managers, and sales representatives to develop competitive proposals and achievable delivery commitments.

  • Represent the business in customer meetings and relevant industry events, partnering with Marketing on targeted campaigns, customer references, and sales materials.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge, strategic sales experience, and the ability to develop complex accounts independently. Candidates should demonstrate the following qualifications and capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or strategic account management.

  • Experience in data centers or renewable energy markets is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with distribution transformers or electrical distribution equipment is strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of project lifecycles, EPC structures, and developer-driven sales models.

  • Proven ability to develop new markets, influence technical specifications, secure preferred vendor positioning, and build lasting customer relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex accounts and progressing opportunities from initial identification through commercial award.

  • Financial acumen, including pricing strategy, gross-margin management, and commercial risk assessment.

  • Strong executive-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills, structured account planning, and disciplined pipeline management.

  • A proactive ownership mindset and the ability to work independently and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Willingness and ability to travel as required. Occasional overtime may be necessary based on business needs.
