Registered Vascular Sonographer
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303

$52.21 - $72.52 an hour - Per Diem Days, Various hours per week
*Range includes per diem differential.

Boulder Community Health is seeking a Registered Vascular Sonographer who performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in the areas of the vascular system and assists the radiologists with procedures.

Qualifications
•Graduate of a CAAHEP- or CMA-accredited ultrasound or vascular technology program required.
•Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), ARDMS required.
•Must be certified in BLS by end of 90 day conditional period
•RDMS Registry or registry eligible required.
•Prior clinical or hospital-based experience required.
•One year of experience in a vascular laboratory or clinical setting preferred.
•Demonstrated proficiency across multiple vascular diagnostic procedures preferred.

Responsibilities
•Provide quality patient care, managing daily patient schedule and exam workflow.
•Performs US exams, using good judgement in scanning, understanding all anatomical measurements, and documenting anatomy/pathology.
•Assists the Radiologists and other physicians with interpretation of exams.
•Assists the Radiologists and physicians with US guided invasive procedures.
•Transports patients to and from department or other areas within the hospital.
•Monitors and cleans US equipment, and reports equipment malfunction to biomed and the supervisor.
•Works toward the goal of quality assurance.
•Works "on-call" after hours.
•Handling and disposing of infectious waste appropriately.
•Uses computer information system as required.
•Coordinates clinical information and previous testing to determine if additional images or organs need to be scanned.
