Job Description
PHD Services is seeking an Audio Visual and Facility Support Specialist to support corporate office environments and conference facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving audio visual technology systems while also serving as a key onsite resource for facility support and workplace operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment. This role requires a proactive individual who enjoys solving problems, supporting end users, and ensuring meeting spaces remain fully operational and ready for use.
Job Responsibilities:
Audio/Visual Support:
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain conference room technology and audio visual systems.
- Support video conferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other collaboration tools.
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, control panels, and presentation equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on conference room and meeting space technology.
- Maintain inventory or AV equipment, cables, adapters, batteries, and related accessories.
- Coordinate equipment repairs, replacements, and upgrades as needed.
- Assist with installation and configuration of new audio visual equipment and technologies.
- Provide onsite support for meetings, presentations, executive briefings, and corporate events.
- Set up and test equipment prior to meetings and events.
- Assist presenters with presentations, connectivity, and meeting technology.
- Monitor and support live events to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Restore conference rooms and event spaces following meetings and events.
Facility Support:
- Serve as an onsite resource for employees requiring facility-related assistance.
- Coordinate service requests and support workplace operational needs.
- Assist with small facility improvement projects and workspace technology initiatives.
- Support conference room readiness, workplace organization, and operational continuity.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel, contractors, vendors, and facility teams as needed.
Project and Technology Coordination:
- Recommend improvements and upgrades to conference room technology and collaboration systems.
- Assist with procurement and purchasing of audio visual equipment and related technology.
- Lead or support AV improvement projects, equipment deployments, and technology upgrades.
- Maintain documentation or equipment inventories, room configurations, and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with Information Technology, Facilities, and other support teams to maintain technology standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience supporting audio visual systems, technology, facilities, or related technical environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience supporting conference room technology and video conferencing systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license.
