Position Title: Principal Technical Program Manager Technology, Process, and Supplier Development (TPD)
Echodyne offers the worlds first compact solid-state true beam-steering radar for a wide range of industries and applications. Our high-performance radars work in all weather and are designed for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft & drones, and security of borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. The company combines the patented technology of metamaterials with powerful software to create a radar sensor with unprecedented performance at commercial price points. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).
- Lead and execute cross-functional initiatives involving made-to-spec hardware, components, and processes across supplier and internal engineering teams
- Define and manage comprehensive development plans, integrating technical milestones, supplier readiness, and risk mitigation
- Drive technology feasibility reviews and supplier evaluations, partnering with engineering and sourcing teams to qualify new capabilities
- Oversee integration of custom supplier deliverables into internal development efforts, ensuring alignment on quality, timing, and validation
- Assess and mature supplier processes, capabilities, and metrics to ensure repeatable, scalable development
- Promote structured collaboration and alignment across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams
- Lead post-integration reviews to drive continuous improvement in internal and external processes
- Support strategic planning by identifying technical capability gaps, supplier dependencies, and future readiness requirements
- Travel domestically and internationally for supplier site visits, technical reviews, and onboarding activities (estimated 1525%
- Proven ability to lead complex, multistakeholder development programs involving custom or emerging technologies
- Experience driving supplier qualification, onboarding, and development efforts for hardware components or assemblies
- Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles, design-for-manufacturing principles, and supplier engagement models
- Highly proficient in building and managing integrated project plans, tracking risk and performance, and driving execution through influence
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to translate complex requirements across technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Strong organizational awareness and ability to manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments

- Background in radar, RF systems, aerospace, automotive, or complex electromechanical systems
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Arena or Windchill
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Confluence, Jira)
- Experience with Agile or hybrid program execution models
- Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are a plus
- Experience driving process or framework improvements across internal and supplier teams
- Bachelors degree in engineering, physical sciences, supply chain, or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years in technical program management, supplier development, or complex hardware integration
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally, for supplier engagement and coordination activities
