Assistant Director of Nursing – Lutheran Home

Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights, IL is hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support nursing operations within a skilled nursing environment. What You’ll Do

· Support oversight of daily nursing department operations within skilled nursing services
· Lead and support nursing staff in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care
· Assist with staff coaching, mentoring, education, and performance management
· Monitor clinical quality indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives
· Help ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and survey readiness
· Oversee or support specialty programs such as Infection Control, Wound Care, Restorative Nursing, Psychotropics, and Fall Prevention
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic resident care planning
· Assist with staffing coordination and nursing leadership coverage as needed
· Support implementation of operational goals and department initiatives
· Promote a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and resident outcomes

Schedule

· Full-time, exempt position
· Hours may vary based on operational and leadership coverage needs

Required Qualifications

· Current Illinois RN license required
· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 4 years of nursing leadership experience within long-term care or skilled nursing
· Previous experience as an ADON or DON strongly preferred
· Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
· Experience with Electronic Health Records and Microsoft Office Suite
