Job Description

Senior Product Manager, Scalability & Compute

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager, Scalability & Compute in the United States.

This role sits at the core of a developer-focused platform powering reliable, scalable distributed systems used across modern application architectures. You will shape how developers deploy, scale, and operate long-running workloads across diverse environments, from Kubernetes clusters to fully serverless execution models. The position blends deep technical product strategy with hands-on engagement across engineering, customers, and open-source communities. You will define the future of worker compute, ensuring seamless deployment experiences, safe versioning, and automated scaling at global scale. Operating in a highly technical, fast-moving environment, you will translate complex infrastructure challenges into intuitive, developer-first solutions. Your work will directly influence platform reliability, developer productivity, and the evolution of cloud-native compute systems.

Accountabilities:

You will define and execute the product strategy for scalable compute and worker deployment systems, ensuring a seamless developer experience across infrastructure models.

  • Own the roadmap for worker deployment across self-hosted, Kubernetes-based, and serverless environments.
  • Lead initiatives for safe worker versioning, enabling zero-downtime deployments and robust CI/CD workflows.
  • Drive the evolution of Kubernetes-based worker controllers to improve orchestration, scaling, and manageability.
  • Define and deliver a serverless execution model that removes infrastructure complexity for developers.
  • Partner closely with engineering to optimize resource usage, autoscaling behavior, and workload scheduling.
  • Engage with customers and open-source communities to gather insights and validate product direction.
  • Translate infrastructure capabilities into intuitive, developer-friendly product experiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure performance, reliability, and usability at scale.
Requirements:

You bring strong technical product management experience with a deep understanding of distributed systems and developer infrastructure.

  • Proven experience in product management for compute platforms, serverless systems, or cloud infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, ECS, Cloud Run).
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD systems, version control workflows, and deployment strategies.
  • Experience building developer-facing platforms with a focus on usability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Familiarity with autoscaling systems, workload scheduling, and resource optimization at scale.
  • Deep knowledge of deployment patterns for stateful or long-running systems.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product direction and user value.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills in technical environments.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a pragmatic approach to prioritization and execution.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in highly technical product domains.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package estimated between $180,000 – $230,000 USD, based on experience and location.
  • Equity participation in the company’s long-term incentive plan.
  • Unlimited PTO plus paid holidays and floating holidays.
  • 100% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance (U.S.-based employees).
  • Retirement savings plan (401k) with employer participation.
  • Home office setup support and monthly internet reimbursement.
  • Annual budgets for professional development, learning, and career growth.
  • Lifestyle spending account for wellness and personal needs.
  • Flexible remote-first work environment with occasional in-person company gatherings.
  • Additional perks including mental wellness app access, meals stipend, and enrichment allowances.
