The Principal Solution Consultant will lead the technical and strategic aspects of customer engagements, supporting business development and solution delivery throughout the sales lifecycle. The role requires understanding customer challenges, designing tailored solutions, and demonstrating the value of advanced Asset Performance Management capabilities.
- Partner with sales teams throughout the sales cycle by leading consultative discovery sessions, identifying customer needs, and defining solution strategies.
- Develop customer-specific Asset Performance Management solutions focused on improving operational performance, reliability, and business outcomes.
- Translate customer business challenges into technical solutions, value propositions, and implementation roadmaps.
- Demonstrate software capabilities using customer data to showcase value, differentiation, and potential business impact.
- Build proposals, recommendations, and statements of work while identifying dependencies, risks, and solution gaps.
- Support pipeline development through account planning, marketing initiatives, awareness sessions, and strategic customer engagements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to qualify opportunities, address technical challenges, and accelerate successful sales outcomes.
- Advise customers on relevant solutions, services, and best practices throughout the transformation journey.
- Contribute to solution design from pre-sales discovery through implementation planning and long-term adoption.
- Travel approximately 75% to support customer engagements across the region and occasionally globally.
The ideal candidate combines consulting expertise, industrial knowledge, and technical understanding of Asset Performance Management solutions. This professional should be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, translating complex technologies into business value, and supporting strategic customer initiatives.
- Previous experience in consulting, pre-sales, professional services, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
- Strong experience with Asset Performance Management solutions, including predictive maintenance applications.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence applications within industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of industry processes, challenges, and market trends, particularly within Oil & Gas and petrochemical sectors.
- Experience with cloud, SaaS solutions, and AI-driven technologies applied to industrial businesses.
- Ability to understand business challenges and communicate the value of complex technical solutions to decision-makers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from customer discussions and operational data.
- Experience supporting technical sales processes and converting business opportunities into successful outcomes.
- Regional experience working with Latin American industrial customers is preferred.
- Engineering background or certifications in Mechanical, Industrial, Automation, Process, or Chemical Engineering.
- Professional or advanced English and Spanish communication skills.
- Experience with Python, industrial operations, or sustainability initiatives is considered a plus.
