Job Description

Description:

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Material Handler to support shipping, logistics, inventory, and internal material movement operations. This role is responsible for accurately preparing and shipping customer orders, transporting materials between facilities, staging materials for production, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments while ensuring compliance with shipping requirements.
  • Verify outgoing orders for accuracy, quality, and completeness prior to shipment or delivery.
  • Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport printed materials to customers and between company facilities.
  • Load, unload, move, pull, and stage materials to support production schedules using appropriate material handling equipment, including forklifts (after required training).
  • Coordinate shipping, deliveries, pickups, and internal material movement with production, warehouse, and logistics teams.
  • Maintain shipping, delivery, inventory, and transportation records using company software and required documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock counts, material tracking, and warehouse organization.
  • Communicate with freight carriers, suppliers, and customers to coordinate deliveries, resolve shipping issues, and provide shipment updates.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all company safety policies, DOT/traffic regulations, and shipping procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflow efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; logistics or supply chain training is a plus.
  • 1+ year of experience in shipping, warehousing, logistics, material handling, or delivery operations, preferably within the print or manufacturing industry.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete required onsite forklift training.
  • Familiarity with shipping software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and stooping throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in warehouse and production environments and operate delivery vehicles as needed.
  • Schedule flexibility, including occasional overtime and shifting priorities to meet production and customer demands.

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 2PM - 10PM
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed to meet production deadlines
