MRO Weekend Shift Supervisor

Job Summary
The MRO Weekend Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing technicians, equipment, and other resources needed on the dedicated weekend shift to complete individual corporate aircraft projects to ensure the safe completion of work within compliance of 14 CFR Part 145 standards.
This person will be responsible for ensuring the technicians use appropriate current technical data, and all aircraft/component work orders scheduled for completion by their assigned personnel falls within the limits of Western Aircraft’s certified repair station ratings. They will also be responsible for ensuring quality & safety standards are met.
Duties & Responsibilities- Motivates, mentors, trains, and provides constructive criticism of assigned team members
- Works with the Service Manager to perform annual team personnel reviews and monitors disciplinary actions put in place by the service manager to improve performance
- Prioritizes workflow on assigned jobs
- Maintains high level of communication with Service Manager, Production Scheduling, and other departments regarding project status and workflow
- Makes technical decisions regarding discrepancies and job flow
- Ensures safety procedures are followed at all times
- Follows established procedures for assigned projects
- Responsible for daily turn-over log with assigned project information
- Manages projects and resolves discrepancies as required to ensure progressive work flow
- Utilizes outside technical resources as appropriate
- Understands safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner
- Service is performed IAW the Repair Station Manual and FAA regulations
- Ensure that Western Aircraft Policy and Procedures are followed
- Directly manages multiple projects incorporating maintenance, avionics, and interiors
- Acts as customer liaison providing timely information regarding assigned projects
- Ensures proper documentation of customer approvals
- Ensures customer accounts are within established credit limits before return to service of aircraft
- Works flexible hours to accommodate arrivals and departures of assigned projects
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in general aviation
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in inspection
- Minimum one (1) year leadership experience in general aviation
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft completion, production, and manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with the industry vendors, regulations, and current procedures for completing interiors on a timely and competitive basis
- Must be able to read, understand and utilize blueprints in a fabrication business
- Strong customer service skills
Education & Certifications
- Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business Management, Finance, or equivalent work experience
- A&P certifications required
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
- Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level, inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Working around equipment with moving parts, ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, frequent standing sitting, walking balancing and stooping
