Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a Hemophilia Center Manager to join our team at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center!

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work or health care administration
  • Experience: Minimum of five years experience as a psychosocial practitioner with progressive responsibility in a health care setting.
  • Maintains required BLS Health Care provider course completion status.
  • Successful completion of all orientation programs.

Preferred:

  • Certification/license in counseling of social work preferred.

Scheduling Requirements

  • Full Time 37.5 hours per week
  • Day Shift

Essential Functions:

  • Provide oversight of day-to-day operations of the Hemophilia Center, including sickle cell and coagulation programs ensuring care delivery aligns with quality, safety, and high reliability principles
  • Supervise, coach, and support team members, strengthening the division s integration and performance within the broader organization
  • Operationalize the strategic and operational goals of the Hemophilia Center while actively contributing to the achievement of hospital-wide priorities
  • Oversee daily program operations, patient flow, and workflow efficiency to ensure timely, coordinated, and patient-centered care delivery
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, accreditation requirements, and regulatory agencies (e.g., CMS, Department of Health, and other governing bodies)
  • Maintain adherence with grant terms, reporting requirements, and regulatory standards specific to hemophilia, sickle cell and coagulation programs
  • Lead and support regulatory readiness activities, including audits, tracers, surveys, and inspections
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous readiness, ensuring alignment with high reliability organization (HRO) principles and infection prevention standards
  • Support cost management and grant budget efforts by identifying and reducing non value-added expenses in collaboration with Finance and Cancer Center leadership and service line partners
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to optimize care delivery, program effectiveness, and patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with workforce planning, staffing models, and role optimization to meet patient care demands
  • Operationalize new regulations, grant requirements, and program initiatives to support growth, sustainability, and performance improvement
  • Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and engagement aligned with organizational core values and just culture principles
  • Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, including structured rounding, recognition programs, and real-time feedback mechanisms
  • Partner with leadership to analyze engagement data (e.g., surveys, turnover trends) and implement targeted action plans to improve retention and morale
  • Promote open communication and psychological safety, ensuring staff feel empowered to speak up for safety, quality, and operational improvement
