Job Description

Description:
  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to job sites or to designated locations in a safe, timely manner.
  • Collect trash on daily route as assigned
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries including photos of materials at job sites.
  • Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
  • Perform regular truck inspections daily (including but not limited to checking oil, antifreeze, tires, and inventory).
  • Report any maintenance or repairs needed (including but not limited to GPS).
  • Maintain truck inventory on a daily basis (including inventory sheets and any Fishbowl processes).
  • Pump gas in trucks as needed and ensure receipts are turned into Accounting if necessary.
  • At the project site, ensure the truck is parked in a manner that does not damage customer’s property and follows safety protocols.
  • Wear and use all safety equipment and personal protective equipment including back support belt.
  • Attend all safety training and follow proper safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Cover all materials after delivery to ensure no materials are damaged before TO (tear off)
  • Call for check in after every stop has been completed properly
  • In case of any incidents or accidents every driver must take pictures immediately and report to management within the first 5 mins
  • If any or all materials are picked up damaged or incorrectly from the supplier driver must call it in immediately before driving off with materials
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Proper truck maintenance and timely reporting of maintenance and repairs.
  • High morale in the department and positive relationship with supporting staff.
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Strong time management and customer service skills.
  • Good attendance and punctuality with assigned work schedule
  • Average of 5 stops per day.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Mentally prepared for harsh weather conditions
  • At least one year of box truck experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record as to be acceptable to the company’s motor vehicle insurance
  • Ability to walk, drive, lift, carry, push, or pull heavy items up to 100lbs for extended periods.
  • Must be able to safely traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, maintaining balance, repetitive movement, climbing, reaching, sitting, bending, crawling, or stretching.
