Afternoons Packer/Material Handler in Youngstown, Ohio at Canduct Industries Limited

Canduct Industries is a leading manufacturer in electrical insulation, primarily used for distribution transformers. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for an Afternoon Packer/Material Handler in Boardman, OH.

This individual will be reporting to the production manager and working in collaboration with Canduct personnel to support the material handling requirements of the shipping warehouse/inventory, and production tasks with the manufacturing facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met.
• Measure, weigh and count products and materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Operate forklift in a safe manner at all times.
• Labelling of material and move to proper inventory location.
• Picking/packing raw materials for customer orders.
• Investigate and suggest process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Accurate and efficient delivery of material to production cells.
• Removal of pallets from production floor to appropriate disposal units.
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities related to product, process, and quality.
• Additional duties as assigned within your department.

Qualified Candidates will have:

• 2 – 3 years receiving within a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Previous forklift experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Highly organized to prioritize your workload, meeting all deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Must be able to work unsupervised and take full ownership of the job.
• Effective communication skills to clearly communicate with other team members and customers.
• Strong work ethic and desire to be part of a high-performing team.
• Ability to solve problems and multitask to meet scheduled and unexpected deadlines.
• Elevated level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency while moving from one task to another promptly with smooth transition and efficiency.
• Works well independently or in a team environment.
