Business Development Manager Helix

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager Helix based in the United States.

This role is focused on accelerating growth by identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities across the technology services landscape.
You will build strategic account plans, develop qualified pipelines, and turn emerging technology opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
The position combines business development, technology sales, strategic relationship management, and market intelligence.
You will engage senior decision-makers and collaborate with capture, delivery, and leadership teams to develop compelling solutions and proposals.
The role offers significant exposure to artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cloud, cybersecurity, and other emerging technologies.
You will also contribute to market presence through industry events, thought leadership, content, and innovation initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Build and execute strategic account plans and growth strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and advance high-potential business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are aligned with growth priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with enterprise customers, executive decision-makers, strategic partners, and industry leaders.
  • Understand customer priorities and business challenges to identify opportunities where technology solutions can create meaningful value.
  • Collaborate with capture, delivery, technical, and leadership teams to develop competitive solutions and compelling proposals.
  • Influence pursuit and capture strategies to strengthen positioning and improve opportunities for successful outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, emerging technologies, and customer priorities to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, networking opportunities, and thought leadership forums.
  • Contribute to brand development through industry engagement, content creation, innovation initiatives, and market-facing activities.
  • Maintain strong visibility into pipeline activity, opportunity progression, customer relationships, and growth plans.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and coordinate stakeholders to move opportunities forward effectively.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers by connecting business needs with relevant technology and transformation opportunities.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, capture, technology sales, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience overall.
  • Proven track record of building qualified sales pipelines and winning new business.
  • Experience engaging large enterprise organizations and senior decision-makers.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation trends.
  • Experience in or strong understanding of technology services and solutions.
  • Experience within emerging technology, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, or digital modernization environments is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one industry-recognized technology certification, such as Microsoft, AWS, CompTIA, cybersecurity, or similar.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong ability to establish executive-level relationships and build long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong business acumen and a customer-first mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong ability to translate market trends and customer needs into actionable business development strategies.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship or transfer of sponsorship is not available for this position.
