About the Role:

As a Laundry Associate, at Amelia Manor Nursing Home your main responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and timely processing of laundry items. You will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, as well as providing a high level of customer service. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our laundry operations. You will be responsible for sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry items, as well as maintaining and operating laundry equipment. Your dedication to maintaining a clean and organized work area will be essential in delivering exceptional laundry services to our residents.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role.
• Knowledge of different fabrics and their specific care requirements.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy laundry items.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using commercial laundry equipment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Sort and separate laundry items based on color, fabric type, and washing instructions.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, and dryers.
• Ensure the proper use of laundry detergents and fabric softeners to achieve optimal cleaning results.
• Fold, hang, and package laundered items according to established standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the storage and inventory of laundry supplies.
