Job Description
Check in and re-certify senior participants at mobile sites.
Entry data into web-based software Link2Feed. Training will be provided.
Rotate with other Intake Associates to provide front desk coverage and assist at mobile sites and offices, as needed.
Travel to different mobile locations, NYCHA development houses, senior buildings and community/outreach centers throughout the four boroughs, except Staten Island.
Maintain high professionalism and respect with clients, site managers, and team members.
Provide professional customer service to clients and assist with various program issues, service questions, and general client concerns.
Work in a team-oriented atmosphere, effectively communicate and collaborate with team members on various work-related projects.
Provide pantry coverage as assigned, including placing items on tables, pre-packing food items for participants, filling participants’ carts with their packages, breaking down boxes as needed, replenishing pantry items, and noting any damaged items.
Assist with reception, filing, and other clerical duties.
Other responsibilities as assigned.Ability to lift up to 30 lbs is required.
Full professional proficiency level in English and Spanish is required.
A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Commitment to helping the communities in need and NYCP’s work and mission.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
Comfortable working with diverse populations.
Multi-task and work in a highly trafficked area.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Weekend work may be necessary.
Travel between multiple mobile sites using New York City public transportation, including subways, buses, Metro-North, and the Long Island Rail Road.
An academic background in Human Services or social services is a plus.
