We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, repair, and maintain tooling and production equipment that supports our manufacturing operations. You will also fabricate prototypes to validate new designs and provide hands-on technical support to both our Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

Essential Job Functions

• Precision Machining: Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
• Setup & Operation: Adjust and operate specialized machine tools for precision operations.
• Prototyping: Create and assemble test models to prove manufacturability; suggest design improvements or alternatives.
• Quality Control: Measure and test completed units to ensure conformance to specifications and detect defects.
• Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and solve equipment problems to minimize downtime.
• General Support: Produce accessories and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant machining experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficient math skills and the ability to read technical drawings or diagrammed instructions.
• Interpersonal: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: Welding experience is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements & Environment

• Mobility: Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Strength: Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds.
• Vision: Requires close, distance, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
• Environment: Work takes place in a factory setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise.
