Job Description
Softeon is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team and play a key role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and a strong background in infrastructure automation,
security and performance optimization. A valid AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator certification is required for this role. This role is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms like AWS, Azure, or similar.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to implement cloud-native architectures and CI/CD processes.
Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
Enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security best practices.
Support our clients by troubleshooting and resolving issues across cloud environments and applications.
Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
At least one year of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role
Mandatory: One of the following valid certifications:
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
o Microsoft Certified – Azure Administrator
o Oracle Cloud Architect – Associate or Professional
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Go)
Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and networking.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud deployments.
Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Proficiency in cloud cost optimization and performance tuning.
Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK).
