Cardiovascular Tech - Registered - Radiology - Special Procedures at Lima Memorial Health System – Lima, Ohio

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, policies and procedures, the registered Vascular Interventional Technologist performs a variety of angiographic procedures including invasive vascular treatments and interventional exams. Assists physician and or radiologist with angiographic procedures. On-call response time within 45 minutes required.

Education: Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) accredited radiology technology program.

Licensure/Certification: Certified registered technologist of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Cardiovascular Registered or board eligible. Registry required within 1 year of eligibility. Certified by the Ohio Department of Health. BLS is required or obtained at the first available training class after hire.

Experience: IR or VR experience preferred.

Skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to exhibit patience and tact and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all situations with all constituents including patients, physicians and other associates. Must also demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes, be cooperative and collaborative, and have the documented ability to work with speed and proficiency while under stress. Performs a variety of IR exams including angiograms, port insertions, dialysis insertions, etc. with physician guidance.
