About This Position

We’re looking for a Staff Accountant who brings energy, accuracy, and curiosity to our finance team. This role offers hands-on exposure to core accounting functions and the opportunity to grow your skills across reporting, operations, and compliance.What You’ll Be Doing
As a key contributor to our accounting operations, you will:Daily processing of financial transactions including receipt and processing of 3rd party paymentsPerform credit analysis of new clientsPerform collection of late or delinquent accountsMaintain updated customer and client filesImplement process improvement ideas to streamline current responsibilities and better utilize existing technologyReview all credit balances, refunds, adjustments; apply adjustments to billing recordsManage company’s business licensing for federal, state, and local complianceReview and audit employee timecard entries; ensure accuracy, resolve exceptions, and escalate discrepancies to operations Assist in preparing month-end reporting and account reconciliationsPreparing and reviewing costing of manufactured items and investigating discrepanciesPrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsAnalyze variances and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial dataCross train on other accounting functions such as accounts payablePerform contract administration functions including:Manage and maintain company’s cooperative purchasing agreements and process bid responses on behalf of companyTrack contract lifecycle milestones—such as renewals, amendments, expirations—and maintain organized documentation and audit trailsReport on cooperative purchasing performance, contract compliance issues, and contract-specific financial metrics to stakeholders or external agencies Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Minimum of an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration2-4 years of experience in accounting or cash collection processes or contract administrationProficiency in Microsoft Office applications and various accounting softwareIdeal candidate will have a high degree of professionalism in working with internal and external customers, be very detail-oriented, demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and have well-developed organizational skills
Physical Requirements & Working ConditionsThis role involves primarily sedentary work, with extended periods of sitting while using a telephone and computer. Duties may require standing, walking, bending, reaching overhead, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 15 lbs. Tasks include frequent near‑vision work and repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements.
