Position Information
Under the close supervision of the Director of Faculty Development and the Chief Financial and Administrative Office in the School of Medicine (SOM), the Education Administrative Fellow will perform administrative and analytical duties in support of SOM educational and administrative operations. Fellows participate in projects and activities that build and strengthen essential administrative skills. The Administrative Fellowship program seeks masters-prepared individuals who wish to develop their management and leadership skills in a fast-paced medical school environment. Fellows participate in projects and activities that build and strengthen essential administrative skills. The duration of the position is 12 months. Fellows for academic year 2026/2027 will rotate to three departments, on a four month rotation. Fellows are assigned at random and not guaranteed a specific department. Fellows will complete projects during their rotation and will attend monthly didactic sessions. The position will have variable hours (may be asked to work nights and weekends). We will conduct interviews and extend offers in Spring 2026 and have an anticipated start date of July 2026.The full salary range for the Administrative Fellow is $53,097 - $89,700 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $71,409 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
