About This Position
Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Admissions, the Admissions Counselor will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling students to all Aultman College programs. This individual will represent the college at both internal and external recruitment-related events.
Department Summary
The Department of Enrollment Management is dedicated to driving the college’s growth by developing and executing comprehensive strategies for recruitment, admissions, and financial aid. The team utilizes data-driven decision-making, predictive analytics, and relationship-building to attract a diverse and high[1]quality student population while ensuring access and affordability through robust financial aid offerings. Through active engagement with prospective students, schools, and community partners, the department fosters seamless pathways from inquiry to enrollment. By collaborating with college leadership, faculty, and staff, the department supports strategic goals while maintaining a commitment to personalized service, clear communication, and alignment with the college’s mission and values.
Qualifications
• The Admissions Counselor position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, higher education administration, communication, or another related field
• Must have strong organizational skills, and the sensitivity and responsiveness to build effective recruiting relationships with a diverse constituency
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to travel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including responding to emails, phone calls, public speaking, and giving presentations
• Must have vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of valid auto insurance
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office software

Responsibilities & Expectations
• Student Recruitment
• The Admissions Counselor will represent Aultman College at high school and college recruitment fairs
• Manage the scheduling, visit calendar and provide tours for prospective students • Evaluate applicants for admissions to the college and their distinct program of study
• Utilize our Customer Relations Management system to actively recruit and communicate with students from the time of inquiry to matriculation
• Collaborate and build relationships with schools to maximize recruitment opportunities.
• Create a seamless process for prospective students by working with current students, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders that assist with recruitment of students
• Maintain current knowledge of Aultman College’s academic and financial aid programs to keep prospective students informed
• Collaborate with the Marketing Team to keep admissions and recruitment information updated on the college website
• Reports/Communication
• Track and report detailed results from all external and internal events
• Assist the Director of Enrollment Management in gathering data for college enrollment reporting
• Function within the Educational Environment
• Actively support the College Mission and Values
• Work collaboratively as a part of the Enrollment Management Team

• Role within the Culture of Assessment - Each administrator, staff, and faculty member are expected to understand, value, prioritize, and communicate assessment as a critical institutional practice. Position-specific responsibilities include:
• Understand data collection/reporting obligations
• Report on time and share information with appropriate director/ manager before submitting to Institutional Effectiveness Council (IEC)

Working Conditions
• The Admissions Counselor will work on-site in an office setting
• Position requires regular attendance, much mental activity, study, reading, planning, evaluating, and decision making
• Operation of standard office equipment such as phones, computers, and copiers occurs on a frequent basis
• Irregular hours, including evenings and Saturdays provide timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines
Department Working Conditions
Hazardous Exposure Category Category III - Includes tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and Category I tasks are not a condition of employment. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood; body fluids or tissues (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone anywhere might encounter potential exposure to body fluids.) Persons who perform these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
