The Barista position is responsible for creating high-quality coffee and beverage experiences while delivering warm, attentive service to every guest. This role plays a key part in activating the café or lobby environment, maintaining a clean and welcoming space, and ensuring consistent product quality and efficiency during both peak and off-peak hours. You must have strong customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.


•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of coffee and espresso beverages, or willingness to learn quickly
• Comfort operating café equipment and learning new systems and technology
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

Requirements:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty café items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Greet guests, answer menu questions, and provide recommendations in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, blenders, and other café equipment safely and correctly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters, equipment, condiment stations, and guest seating areas
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures
• Restock cups, lids, syrups, milks, pastries, and other supplies; communicate low inventory to leadership
• Accurately enter and process orders using the POS system, handling cash and credit card transactions responsibly
• Assist with light food preparation and plating of pastries or café items as needed
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and end-of-day cleaning
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
