About This Position
About the Role:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Pediatric Office Nurse to join our outpatient pediatric practice. This role focuses on providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, family-centered office environment while supporting providers and ensuring excellent patient experiences.Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Demonstrated experience or clinical training in pediatric nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Experience working in pediatric hospital units, clinics, or community health settings.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pediatric providers during office visits and proceduresPerform patient intake, vital signs, and developmental screeningsAdminister immunizations and medications per protocolProvide patient and parent education on treatments, medications, and preventive careManage phone triage, medication refills, and patient follow-upsMaintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared for patient careFollow infection control and safety standards appropriate for an office setting

The required skill of Pediatric Nursing is essential for accurately assessing and addressing the unique healthcare needs of children, ensuring safe medication administration, and providing age-appropriate patient education.
