Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for invoicing, customer billing, credit management, collections, and reconciling accounts receivable to the general ledger. This role works closely with the Controller and Sales to ensure accurate revenue reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is an on-site accounting role located in Zumbrota, MN, supporting our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, post, verify, and record accounts receivable transactions, including customer payments
• Perform AR invoice review and posting in accordance with company practices
• Create and submit customer invoices accurately and on time
• Manage credit card processing and customer credit activity
• Review new customer credit applications and evaluate eligibility for payment terms
• Maintain and update customer account records, including address changes and account updates
• Identify and follow up on past-due accounts, including drafting correspondence and contacting customers for collections
• Research billing discrepancies and past-due balances in coordination with the Sales team
• Reconcile accounts receivable aging to the general ledger on a periodic basis
• Assist with monthly billing statements and revenue reconciliation
• Support the Controller in reconciling monthly revenue accounts
• Generate RMA transactions and related credit memos within the accounting system
• Copy, file, and retrieve AR documentation as needed
• Communicate relevant account changes to appropriate internal teams
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of two years of related accounting or accounts receivable experience

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to access various departments within the facility
