Job Description
We are looking for a versatile and team-oriented Floating Dental Assistant (Rover) to support our clinical team throughout the office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety in their day, and is always willing to jump in where needed to keep the schedule running smoothly.
The Floating Dental Assistant will assist both doctors and hygienists, help maintain efficient patient flow, and provide support across multiple operatories and departments as needed.
Responsibilities- Assist chairside with various dental procedures
- Support both hygiene and doctor columns throughout the day
- Help seat and dismiss patients
- Turn over and prepare treatment rooms efficiently
- Take x-rays and assist with scanning/impressions as needed
- Sterilize and organize instruments
- Restock operatories and maintain clinical supplies
- Jump in to assist team members during busy times or schedule changes
- Help maintain smooth patient flow and minimize wait times
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care
- Adaptable and flexible
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with multiple providers and team members
- Able to move efficiently throughout the office and anticipate team needs
- Experience with Open Dental and iTero preferred

Requirements:Education and Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
- Valid X-ray certificate.
- Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements).
- CPR & first aid certificate.
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
