CASHIER at CORRIGAN OIL CO. – MUNCIE, Indiana

Position Description: Job Overview: Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his or her shift, within company policy, in such a manner as to ensure that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store.
Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to: Ability to perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level in order to be able to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of a variety of products during vendor check in Ability to stock shelves, coolers, and ice machine Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning materials Ability to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, lift and carry trash containers and place in an outside bin Ability to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the convenience store Manage customer transactions with a positive attitude Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds Ability to enter and work in a cooler at a temp of 40 degrees for up to 30 minutes at a time Ability to occasionally work alone Ability to handle high levels of stress Regular and reliable attendance Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness
Qualifications/Experience/Education Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language at an eighth-grade level Must be at least 18 years of age
